I Just Gave my Teen a Smartphone, But I also Did Something Else with it

I just gave my 12 year old a smartphone. Now, before you get on your high-horse and judge me, let me explain why I did it and what I did in order to make sure she used it responsibly.

My daughter Katie is a very responsible girl. She gets top grades in school, does all of her homework and chores without being told to, and treats others better than anyone I know. Her amount of empathy for those around her is unmatched by anyone I’ve ever met. She’s also a good athlete—playing lacrosse, basketball and soccer throughout the year—as well as an excellent pianist for her age.

Recently she asked if she could have an iPhone. Her mother and I balked at first—we didn’t really think she was old enough for one, plus they are really expensive—but we changed our mind when Katie offered to pay for it herself with her own money. We didn’t think it would be right of us to let her spend all of her saved birthday and holiday cash on a smartphone—seeing as the device would also help her with school work and actually be a bonus for us in keeping in contact with her—so we told her we’d pay half.

Katie was ecstatic and we were glad we said yes, but we were also concerned. We knew of all the dangers and temptations that lurked on the Internet. We had a home computer. Giving her a device filled with all of those dangers to be carried around in her pocket scared us. Yes, there’s a lot of porn. Believe me, I know. I’m a man. I know how easy it is to find it. There are also a lot of ways for pedophiles and perverts to get at my daughter. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, chat rooms, texts, emails—all can give any creep direct access to my little girl. If Katie was going to walk around with something that put her at risk, we needed to lay down some ground rules. And we did.

We told her she couldn’t use the device during school except for an emergency of course. We explained all of the things that bothered us that she could see. We told her we would check the device with software that could spy on someones cell phone from time to time to make sure everything was kosher. She agreed without question. Katie also was fine with the stipulation that she only use the device in a public space of the house—no bedroom or bathroom. And we also told her that we would install a mobile monitoring app on her phone, just to make sure that she was being responsible (which we knew she would be) and that no one was trying to harm her in some way. We used to software to spy on other cell phones free of actual physical contact for her safety from whats going in and coming out of her cell phone.

So with all of that in order, we bought her an iPhone—the previous version since it was cheaper—and looked for mobile surveillance software program that would give us the most bang for our buck. After searching through countless ads and websites we found one that worked like a charm. We went with one called SurePoint Spy. It installed easily and within minutes I was able to start monitoring Katie’s phone. We told her to sign in to all of her accounts and play with the phone for a few hours. Then we sat down with Katie and showed her how it worked. At first we were all shocked at what we could do. We checked her calls and texts and searched through her browser history. We looked at the three selfies she took of herself in the mirror and then at her posts of it on Twitter and Instagram. After that we activated her camera and microphone to see how well that worked. Crazy.

There was a lot more that we could do, but we didn’t want to spend the whole day spying on our daughter. She’s a really good girl and I know she will continue to be that way. I just want to make sure that she’s always safe. I think that with this mobile monitoring app on it, I can probably feel that way. This software was so interesting that I could even spy on spouse cell phone to monitor what's going on on my wife's phone too. Of course I'd never think she was doing anything wrong, but it could be a good way to protect her from any unknown harms that could come her way.

Installing Cell Phone Tracking Software on Your Own Phone Before You Travel

When you think about installing cellphone tracking software, you usually think about putting it on someone else’s phone to monitor how they’re using their phone. You might track your child’s phone or an employee’s phone if you’re a business owner. But what about using cell phone tracking software on your phone? If you like to travel, cell phone tracking software can actually save your life. Here’s how.

Before You Leave For Your Trip
Enlist your spouse, a parent, or a trusted friend to keep an eye on your cell phone through cell phone tracking software. While this may seem odd at first, cell phone tracking software has a lot of uses for travelers to spy on your spouse cell phone while they travel.

With cell phone tracking software you can pinpoint the exact GPS location of the phone and their owner. If you’re lost or in a bad situation, your friend or ally back home can keep an eye on you and help compile a report to the authorities. If you lose your phone or it’s been stolen you can enlist your friend to help you find it as well. With the information cell phone tracking software provides, a friend or loved one can provide useful information to your country’s embassy if you’re in a foreign country or contact local authorities regardless of what’s going on. For example, if a woman loses her phone while she's away she can have her husband or another loved one spy on wife cell phone and find out things like where it is, who's using it, who they're calling, etc.

While your friend, spouse, parent or so on probably won’t need this information, cell phone tracking software can also provide information about calls and texts that you have made. That way if you go missing or something happens to you, your friend can figure out what’s going on and, again, get in touch with local authorities. Having a good record of texts and calls you’ve made can help prosecute people you’ve had a bad run-in with if you were contacted by them via phone.

In cases where you’ve been kidnapped, accused of a crime, assaulted, or so on, the information provided by cell phone tracking software can help prove what was really going on. Unfortunately, government corruption is common in many countries you may be visiting and you’ll want to make sure a local embassy or a body like Interpol can help keep tabs on what really went on so that you don’t end up unfairly imprisoned for whatever reason.

If you’re under the age of 18, cell phone tracking software is especially handy since it allows your parents or another trusted relative to help make sure you’re safe at all times. But even if you’re older than 18 it’s still a good tool to have handy, especially if you’re female, elderly, and or in a country where you don’t speak the native language.

While traveling can be a rewarding experience, there’s a lot that can happen to you. You’re in unfamiliar territory. Even if you’re only traveling to a close by country, it’s easy to get lost, injured, or assaulted and not know how to seek help. While you should always have a good idea of how to contact emergency services in any country you travel in, it can also help to have a friend or family member keep tabs on your cellular phone's location just in case you’re in a situation where you can’t make the call yourself. Consider a code word system that you agree upon before you leave which you can use when making a call or text that will alert your family member or friend that you’re in trouble and in a situation where you can’t say what’s going on.

Don’t let yourself become a statistic overseas. Software to spy phones for cell phones can save your life. While it may not be a conventional method to seeking help from back home, it can be very handy no matter what kind of trouble you find yourself in while traveling.

Helping Your Child Understand How to Stay Safe on the Internet

Not every child knows how to keep themselves safe in today’s world. And not every parent knows how to keep them safe. You don’t have to let your child be at the mercy of the world though. With the use of various tools and the willingness to pay attention, you can help identify potential threats to your child’s well-being and help keep them safe no matter what.

Monitoring Internet Usage and Cell Phones
Until a child is over eighteen, you’ll want to enact reasonable limits on their Internet and cell phone usage. Consider parental control features on your child’s computer. You may even want to consider installing a spy program for cell phones so you can monitor what your child is doing. Your child should understand why you’re taking such measures- so you’re able to make sure they’re staying responsible with their Internet and phone usage and you can be sure they’re safe. Many parental control programs will allow you to see what your child’s doing online, including what sites they visit and what kinds of emails they’re sending. Spy programs for cell phones can also give you information about what social networks your child is visiting on their phone, the content of their texts and calls, and pictures and videos they’re having. As your child gets older and they’ve proven they’re responsible, you can relax on parental controls. But if your child misbehaves or abuses their online or phone privileges, don’t hesitate to use parental controls or tracking services. Children should have reasonable limits as they grow older and should be able to understand the consequences of their actions.

Monitoring their Internet and cellphone usage is an easy way to make sure that your child is staying safe online. After all, one has to worry about cyber-bullying, pornography, illicit websites, and more. The Internet has a lot of benefits but it also comes with its own downsides including access to dangerous people.

Your child should understand why you’re keeping an eye on them. Have frank discussions about why you’re using spy products for cell phones and monitoring their Internet usage. While no one likes to be told they have to be monitored, it’s for the best when dealing with a child on the internet.

What Every Child Should Know
A child should be made well aware of what kinds of content is unacceptable in your home as well as potential dangers they need to watch out for online. For example, they should always avoid web cam chatting websites in order to avoid explicit content. A child should also be careful to avoid talking to people online they don’t really know in settings where their conversation can’t be monitored. For example, some websites geared towards children will monitor explicit language, who joins, and so on. But be sure your child is able to use the Internet and their cellphone responsibly as well. Set time limits so your child isn’t using the Internet or their cellphone for hours on end. After all, a child has homework and other responsibilities as well. They should know not to waste all of their time on electronic devices.

While using something like cellphone tracking technology may seem like overkill at first, it can be a valuable tool to help keep your children safe, especially if they’re still in middle school.

When you feel your child is old enough to behave responsibly on the Internet, you can lighten parental controls. But never doubt that monitoring your child can be one of the most valuable tools you have when it comes to making sure your children can stay safe and smart on the Internet.

Before Your Phone is Stolen

The worst thing that can happen to any phone owner is to discover that their phone has gone missing. You may not realize that it but phones hold a lot of personal information on them. They’re virtually extensions of ourselves. And having a phone become stolen or lost is absolutely devastating. Luckily, you can take a few steps right now to ensure that your phone can be tracked and easily recovered before your phone ever goes missing. You can’t afford to not take these steps.

What to Do
The Find My Phone feature on phones like Apple’s iPhone sounds great in theory. But they can be difficult to use and don’t give you information about how the phone is being used after it has been lost or stolen. Ideally, your best bet is to install a cellphone tracking program on your own phone.

While this sounds bizarre at first, a cellphone tracking program can be a surprisingly practical solution to a problem every phone owner wants to avoid. With a tracking program you can monitor the exact GPS location of your phone at all times. You can also find out if any of your apps are being used, if calls or texts are being made from your phone, and so on. You can also use your phone’s camera remotely to see exactly where your phone is and who’s using the phone.

Not all criminals are especially tech savvy. But even if they are, spy software for cell phones is very, very discreet. Your phone thief will have no idea you’re spying on them.

Install a cellphone tracking program when you first get your phone or as soon as possible. That way you’ll have an easy way to monitor your phone no matter where it is. It’s better to be safe than sorry. While some cellphone tracking programs can be activated remotely it’s better to enable the software while you have the phone physically handle just in case you need a while to figure out how to use the software.

When Your Phone Is Stolen
When worst comes to worst and your phone is actually stolen, take a deep breath. You’ve already got eyes on your own phone.

Make sure you’re tracking your phone constantly. Spy record cell phone conversations. Keep tabs on the phone’s GPS location. Report the phone as missing. If the phone is only lost but not stolen you can recover the phone if you know where it has been left. But if stolen, keep tracking. Make note of any photos or videos created by the phone thief. You can use information the program is compiling about the physical appearance of the thief in order to give law enforcement help identifying the thief.

Use social media to your advantage. Share information online and ask friends to share whatever information you’ve compiled around in order to see if someone can help you identify and track down the thief. Cooperate with law enforcement.

As long as you relax and understand that your phone isn’t lost forever, your phone will be recovered in no time. Just keep an eye on it and don’t give up hope. You just may be able to let police know where you think the phone is and they can track down the owner of the phone.

But if you’re unable to recover the phone for whatever reason, you can disable it from a distance. Remember, your spy software for cell phone devices also recovers data from your phone so your photos, texts, and calls aren’t gone forever. Think of it as an advanced backup system as well.

If you’re reunited with your phone, never let it go. Always keep a close eye on your belongings and never discount the possibility of your phone being stolen at any point.

Negative Effects of Social Media and the Importance of the SurePoint Spy Software

Social media has brought with it a lot of good stuff. For instance, one can make friends easily with people from all over the world. Business people have also not been left behind as social media helps them interact with their customers directly and efficiently, while making sales at the same time. However, there is nothing on this earth that does not have a negative side of it. Social media sites do not limit anyone from joining which means that your child can befriend anyone. Some even join with fake accounts which make it hard for one tear real accounts from fake accounts.

Anything can happen on these sites ranging from sexual harassment, cyber bullying and use of vulgar language. Any parent who cares and loves their child should never allow their child to join such sites until they are old enough to care for themselves because such sites can leave long term effects. Because of such dangers, you have no option as a parent but to use a mobile phone spyware for spying on a cell phone to monitor everything your teen does on social media.

Some of the negative ways social media can affect your kid/s include the following:
1. Hate Speech
When speaking face to face with someone, your teen is less likely to use hate speech than when using social media sites. On social media, no one will ask them and most likely, you won’t even be able to know it’s them because they’ll probably be using a name that isn’t theirs.
2. Cyber bullying
This one has been talked about over and over again and your teen might already be aware of it. It is a problem that never ends and the people affected often take long to recover from it. So your teen is online but there is this person who keeps bothering them by sending life threatening messages and insults. This can be very scary given the fact that it might be someone your teen knows and probably has a grudge on them.
3. Identity theft
Identity theft is when your teen creates an account on say Facebook but does not fully protect their account. Their privacy settings are weak hence making it easy for anyone to view their timeline, photos and details about their location. When that happens, you find more than one profile under the same name which makes it difficult to know the real account owner.
4. Exposure to pedophiles
As mentioned before, not everyone joins these sites using their real name. This means that your teen may become friends with a pedophile who may find out everything about them through chatting. When that happens, such a teen may just find themselves in the trap of these evil people.
5. Depression
This can happen to a child or teen who does not believe that he/she is not beautiful enough. If they happen to post a picture of themselves and get no likes, they will continue sinking into more depression. Others may not feel special or beautiful enough because of less Facebook friends.

You don’t have to wait until your teen experiences any of the above dangers. You can keep them safe by purchasing the SurePoint Spy cell phone spy app to enable you keep track of everything they do on their phone. With spying devices for cell phones every text received will be sent to your phone and so will all calls and location details. You will be able to protect your child from such fiascoes if you are keen enough to notice anything unusual. This app gives you guaranteed results that cannot be delivered by any other cell phone apps. Even if you're looking for software for spying on a cell phone for free, I suggest going with this one-time fee option.

Getting the Best Cell Phone Monitoring Software

Technology has currently gone to higher levels and only the persons that are flexible can cope with the change. The cell spy programmers are currently the talk of the day and it is very wise that you are not left behind. At one point or the other you certainly may need to use the cell phone monitoring software for spying on a cell phone without installing software to your phone. Talk about monitoring the behavior of your child especially for the concerned parents, talk about spying on your employees, talk about safeguarding your own privacy among many things. If you already in the field of using or needing the software, it is very obvious that you may need the best software as every person would always pay for the best. If you need the best, there are features that are very important to look for in every cell monitoring software. So many persons have gone for less while paying more. This is a guide in selecting the best, efficient, reliable and consistence cell phone monitoring software.

First you will need to look at the backup systems available, does it include the microphone activation that will enable call listening and also recording? How easy is it to install the software for spying on cell phone without installing software on your device? Is the usability friendly or does it have a manually that is so hard to use? How private can the spy process be conducted that is to say is it a software that takes the visible mode or invisible mode. The invisible mode will ensure that the person you are spying on does not find out about your action and therefore you are always safe. Also it is very important to check if the software has features that enable remote lock allowing you to use it anywhere even without having the phone of the targeted person.

The next thing you need to check is the pricing. It is obvious that before any purchases, you should know your financial capabilities. From your capabilities you need to know the installments that are available (it could be monthly, yearly or quarterly) in some cell phone monitoring software there usually a monthly payment after the initial purchase. The pricing will also depend on the time you want to use the software if it just for a month, there is no need of purchasing a one year term. The kind of maintenance should also be your subject when pricing.

Functionality and tracking: It is important that you look into this aspect before purchase. What are the limitations of its tracking? Some can only track the internet and not calls, can it track the browsers history, deleted items, what about the emails, the contacts, application and even the notes and calendar. Ensure that your need is captured in the spy software functionality for spying on cell phone. The reporting capability is also as important as the functionality and tracking features. It would be of no value if the tracking is not effective and if notification cannot be made on time. The ease of reporting is also an item to check on.

The alerting and restrictions are also the major things to look at when purchasing the software. In that it is important to check if the spy software can block or flag contacts. Can the spy software restrict the users time? What about the web and application blocking and key word alerts? When looking at all this you must always ensure that the software company has a very able help and support system that will always be available at you call. The help and support must be direct, user-friendly, must always be available, and there should always be some documentation that will guide you. Spyware such as the SurePoint Spy are excellent and consider it as what you have been looking for.
