Before Your Phone is Stolen

The worst thing that can happen to any phone owner is to discover that their phone has gone missing. You may not realize that it but phones hold a lot of personal information on them. They’re virtually extensions of ourselves. And having a phone become stolen or lost is absolutely devastating. Luckily, you can take a few steps right now to ensure that your phone can be tracked and easily recovered before your phone ever goes missing. You can’t afford to not take these steps.

What to Do
The Find My Phone feature on phones like Apple’s iPhone sounds great in theory. But they can be difficult to use and don’t give you information about how the phone is being used after it has been lost or stolen. Ideally, your best bet is to install a cellphone tracking program on your own phone.

While this sounds bizarre at first, a cellphone tracking program can be a surprisingly practical solution to a problem every phone owner wants to avoid. With a tracking program you can monitor the exact GPS location of your phone at all times. You can also find out if any of your apps are being used, if calls or texts are being made from your phone, and so on. You can also use your phone’s camera remotely to see exactly where your phone is and who’s using the phone.

Not all criminals are especially tech savvy. But even if they are, spy software for cell phones is very, very discreet. Your phone thief will have no idea you’re spying on them.

Install a cellphone tracking program when you first get your phone or as soon as possible. That way you’ll have an easy way to monitor your phone no matter where it is. It’s better to be safe than sorry. While some cellphone tracking programs can be activated remotely it’s better to enable the software while you have the phone physically handle just in case you need a while to figure out how to use the software.

When Your Phone Is Stolen
When worst comes to worst and your phone is actually stolen, take a deep breath. You’ve already got eyes on your own phone.

Make sure you’re tracking your phone constantly. Spy record cell phone conversations. Keep tabs on the phone’s GPS location. Report the phone as missing. If the phone is only lost but not stolen you can recover the phone if you know where it has been left. But if stolen, keep tracking. Make note of any photos or videos created by the phone thief. You can use information the program is compiling about the physical appearance of the thief in order to give law enforcement help identifying the thief.

Use social media to your advantage. Share information online and ask friends to share whatever information you’ve compiled around in order to see if someone can help you identify and track down the thief. Cooperate with law enforcement.

As long as you relax and understand that your phone isn’t lost forever, your phone will be recovered in no time. Just keep an eye on it and don’t give up hope. You just may be able to let police know where you think the phone is and they can track down the owner of the phone.

But if you’re unable to recover the phone for whatever reason, you can disable it from a distance. Remember, your spy software for cell phone devices also recovers data from your phone so your photos, texts, and calls aren’t gone forever. Think of it as an advanced backup system as well.

If you’re reunited with your phone, never let it go. Always keep a close eye on your belongings and never discount the possibility of your phone being stolen at any point.
